Hey there! I’m Sarah, the founder and an instructor at Tallie, Edinburgh’s very first and only Lagree studio. My background is British-Arab, but having lived all over the world, you might find my accent a bit of a puzzle!
I'm beyond excited to bring Tallie to life here in Edinburgh. It's not just the first Lagree studio in Scotland, but also the first in the UK to feature the Miniformer Pros. Sharing my passion for this incredible workout and machine with our new community is truly a dream come true.
Lagree is an incredible, high-intensity, low-impact workout that focuses on muscular endurance. It combines the best of cardio, balance, strength, and flexibility training with an emphasis on slow, controlled movements.
I appreciate how this workout adapts to your current fitness level while consistently pushing both your body and mind. The exercises don’t necessarily become easier, but your strength and endurance improve over time. It’s a humbling experience that has significantly boosted my mental resilience in all aspects of life. This is why I’m so dedicated to introducing Lagree to Edinburgh. The benefits of this workout extend well beyond the 45-minute sessions; the sense of community and the relationships you form, from instructors to fellow participants around the globe, are truly remarkable. Whenever I’m travelling, I love joining classes or discovering new studios!
I found Lagree by chance in London and never looked back! I got certified, taught my first class, and have been learning and growing ever since. I started my fitness journey as a Pilates trainer and hold certificates as a Level 1 and Level 2 Lagree fitness instructor, STOTT Pilates Reformer Trainer, and a 200-hour Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga Teacher.
The Lagree method was created by Sebastian Lagree and has become a favourite in Hollywood because of its effective results and efficient class times. I’m excited to see it become more popular worldwide.
A glutes girl at heart, my favourite move has to be a Mega Donkey Kick, it not only works the glutes but your core and shoulders will be on fire too! For core, it has to be a Giant Reverse Dancing Bear, a true burner for the obliques and heart rate pumper!
The Lagree method is all about routine and consistency. So I love the name Tallie because it speaks to adding up progress over time. I think the spelling makes it seem friendly, too, which is the vibe I want the studio to have. Everyone should feel welcome and comfortable come in and try out a new method that hopefully becomes a routine.
Steps first thing in the morning is so important to me for mood regulation and energy levels, it’s a real game changer. Getting outside as soon as I wake up gives me the mental clarity and energy I need to get the day off to a productive start!
When you join my classes at Tallie, expect a fresh, creatively designed sequence every time. I thrive on crafting classes that flow seamlessly and intentionally, leaving you with all the Lagree shakes, sweat, and burn you can handle in 45 minutes. And of course, you’ll get plenty of positive encouragement along the way.
I can’t wait to see people fall in love with this method at Tallie!
